Cades Cove

Located in a valley, surrounded by the spectacular mountains, it’s easy to see why Cades Cove is a favorite destination in the Smokies! Come drive around the 11-mile loop road that circles the cove and view the majestic scenery. This is one of the best opportunities to see wildlife in the area.

Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls provides 5.4 miles of creeks, footbridges and an 80-foot high waterfall 2.7 miles from the trailhead. It is slightly more strenuous, but the reward at the end is well worth your efforts. As the highest single-drop waterfall in the Smokies, Rainbow Falls features great picnic spots along the way and continues on to Mt. LeConte for those looking for a little more challenge or maybe a day hike spent with the family.

Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster

Take in the views as you coast down the mountain on a three-fourths mile track! Double up with a family member to achieve maximum speeds up to 35 miles per hour or glide down at your own pace. This attraction puts you in control with the unique hand brake system. Visit their website for more information and height requirements before planning your fun-filled family adventure down the thrilling Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster!

Tom’s Branch Falls

This easy hike is under a mile and accessible from the Deep Creek Trail. Tom’s Branch Falls includes benches to sit and admire the beautiful waterfalls featured on this easy-to-do hike. The trail continues onto Indian Creek Falls, for another easy 1.9-mile hike, but a little more distance to add to your experience in the Smokies. Either way, this hike is perfect for young families or older family members to enjoy together!

Zip Gatlinburg

Children as young as 5 years old are invited to join in on this fun! Soar through the air together along this 9-line course. Take in the views and the nature that will surround you as you zip through the mountains.
