April and May Gatlinburg Festivals Not To Be Missed

If you plan on visiting the Smoky Mountains in the months of April and May we have a great list of Gatlinburg festivals that you have to add to your agenda. While we know you may only be in the Smokies for a limited time, we encourage you to at least check out a few of these!

Gatlinburg Music Festival 

April 3rd - 25th - The Smoky Mountain Music Festival is a competition for elementary, middle and high school music groups. These groups will showcase their work and talent in front of adjudicators in the Smoky Mountains. On Friday, concert bands, jazz bands, orchestras, choral groups and winter guards, indoor drum lines, and other auxiliaries will perform at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. On Saturday adjudication of the Street Parade on the downtown Gatlinburg strip will occur. A great festival for the whole family!

Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community Easter Show 

April 8th - A festival that featuresunique handcrafted gifts and products produced by members of Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community are placed on display and offered for sale as they host their annual Easter show at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.

Bruce Street Brewfest 

April 25th - Celebrate local craft beer and experience the fun of 4th Annual Bruce Street Brewfest. Hosted by the Gatlinburg Brewing Company in downtown Historic Sevierville this event will feature over 100 area craft and homebrewers. Though not technically in Gatlinburg, it’s a must-see event!

Hands-On Gatlinburg

May 1st - 3rd - The 2020 Hands-On Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Weekend provides arts and crafts lovers the opportunity to own a beautifully crafted piece of artwork made with their very own hands. An abundance of do-it-yourself style classwork will be offered, from woodturning, fused glass ornaments, woodworking, rug weaving, drawing and much more. Attendees can keep the items they make and place them alongside their other coveted works of art. 

Smoky Mountain Wine Fest 

May 1st - 2nd - An event hosted by the Tennessee Farm Wine Growers Alliance, a coalition of the farm wineries and vineyards throughout the great state of Tennessee that supports the production of commercial wines and grapes within the state as viable agricultural industries within Tennessee. 

Gaither Family Fest in the Smokies

May 22nd - The collaborations of Bill and Gloria Gaither have yielded more than 700 groundbreaking songs that have been sung for generations all over the world. Gaither fest brings together great theology and great music!

As you can see, springtime is especially busy in the Smokies! If you’re visiting the Smokies during these months enjoy one of these many festivals! After a day or night enjoying the events, you’ll be able to head back to your home away from home at one of Diamond Mountain Rentals’ cabins.
